Madhavapeddi Satyam
Legendary Telugu playback singer whose voice defined a golden era of Indian cinema. The home was a school of swara and sahitya long before the stage was a destination.

A life devoted to the sacred geometry of Kuchipudi —
across 25 countries, on five continents.

M. V. N. Murthy is an eminent Kuchipudi exponent and a distinguished torchbearer of the classical Indian dance tradition — son of the celebrated playback singer late Madhavapeddi Satyam, and one of the most accomplished disciples of Padma Bhushan Guru Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam.
He has played key roles in landmark Kuchipudi dance-dramas choreographed by his guru, contributing to the preservation and propagation of the traditional repertoire. His commanding stage presence and deeply expressive abhinaya have brought mythological and historical characters to life on stages across the country and the world.
Founder of SIVA Foundation, Chennai — now in its 30th year — empanelled artist of the ICCR, and member of the Eyal Isai Nataka Manram of the Government of Tamil Nadu, Murthy has carried Kuchipudi to more than 25 countries as a cultural ambassador of India.

For more than three decades, M. V. N. Murthy has performed the male lead in the dance ballets of Smt. Hema Malini — the actress and parliamentarian — across over eight hundred and fifty stages worldwide. A partnership that has carried Kuchipudi to vast, diverse audiences and shaped the modern reach of the form.
